Lil Wayne Joins Cornerboy Fendi P on “Wit My Left”

blame it on Shake April 12, 2018

Fresh off releasing Dedication 6 with DJ Drama, Lil Wayne kept the heat coming with a ruthless take on Jay-Z’s “Family Feud” with Drake, before reloading with a bonus disc. And now, with Carter V still being held for ransom (although, no longer by the AIDS pill douche, but rather Jeff Sessions—yes, the United States’ bum ass Attorney General), the Young Money spitter keeps it moving with an appearance on Cornerboy Fendi P‘s new single, “Wit My Left.”

The first taste of Fendi’s upcoming album, Late Nights, Early Mornings (out May 11th via Jet Life/Empire), the artist formerly known as Cornerboy says the name change is all about progression.

“As Corner Boy P, fans got to see me grow and develop as an artist. However, there are things I want to accomplish as an artist and as a man,” P told Complex. “I want to share my story and be a mentor in my community. If I want to visit a school as Cornerboy P, I do so with preconceived ideas of who I am and with negative connotations. So moving forward, it’s Fendi P; we all grow and mature.”

The growth and maturity was also highlighted by Curren$y back in February, when they originally announced the single. “From this point on shit will be different for this young man, mark my words,” he said.
