In 1998 T3, Baatin and J Dilla — collectively known as Slum Village — would finish their anticipated seminal album Fantastic Vol. 2 which, unfortunately, did not see a release until 2000. Now, as the album approaches its (true) 20th anniversary, SV celebrate with the release of some previously-vaulted tracks.

These tracks make up The Lost Scrolls Vol. 2. An 11-track drop, many of these songs were actually recorded while the three were still in their teens shortly out of high school. Led by the “original” version (dubbed the “lost remix”) of “Hold Tight” with Q-Tip, the project comes ahead of both Slum Village’s upcoming summer tour and the release of Young RJ’s Detroit compilation.
