Afrobeat/Afropop music has never been more popular, thanks in part to both the increasingly easier access to the music and some of its biggest stars: Yemi Alade, Davido, Tiwa Savage and of course, Wizkid. Having now crossed over into the States, hip hop artists are frequently working with these artists, expanding their appeal.
Davido, in particular, has worked with the likes of Wale, Meek Mill, Tinashe and Young Thug in recent times. Now he joins A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie on his latest single, “Way Too Fly.” The Highbridge artist ventures into the Nigerian sound for the first time, which can be heard below.
