What happens when you put a rapper from Scarborough and an abstract Akai-Pro scientist into a studio together? Well, in Tona and Memorecks‘ case, the result is a quality album by the name of Black Mirror.

“The title ‘Black Mirror’ has been based around showing a different part of ourselves. The part we often hide that makes us vulnerable,” Tona says. “The Black when all the televisions, computers, and cellphones are turned off.”

With features from Toronto’s Savannah Ré, St. Lucia’s Kayo, and UK rapper Skripture, Black Mirror can be heard below. Press play and add on your preferred streaming platform.
