Earlier this year, it was announced that a remake of SuperFly was on the way with Director X putting his own spin on the Blaxploitation classic from Gordon Parks Jr.
Following the news, a mixed bag of doubt, outrage, and excitement fell over the hip hop world as it was also revealed that Future would be handling the soundtrack.
Now, with the film hitting theaters next week (6/15), the soundtrack has been released to the masses.
Locked in at 13 tracks, the SuperFly soundtrack plays out like a solo Future project (the same way Curtis Mayfield did with the original) with the Atlanta rapper appearing on 11 of them, with bonus features from Miguel, Young Thug, Khalid & H.E.R. (“This Way“), Lil Wayne, PartyNextDoor (“No Shame“), 21 Savage, Sleepy Brown, Yung Bans (“Bag“), and Gunna.
