Three years after releasing his last project (2015’s Thumbs), Busdriver made his return to rap with the release of a song called “GUSH” back in January. And now, the Left Coast wordsmith is officially back in action with his new album, Electricity is On Our Side.

“Drawing from memory and community roots, the 10th album from rap innovator Busdriver plays out like an ode to modern folk art via the act’s characteristically warped take on the world’s leading pop music: hip hop. Homespun and bursting with intention, Electricity is on Our Side argues that the quintessential underground hiphop album is in fact the high art of the day.”

A melting pot of electronic, jazz, and hip hop, Busdriver’s latest release comes equipped with 22 tracks and contributions from Denmark Vessey, Kenny Segal, Daedelus, and more. Press play, via Bandcamp, below.
