While high school may be ending for many students this year, Chance The Rapper sent some of them off with a gift they’ll never forget.
During Chano’s monthly Open Mike Event in his hometown of Chicago last night (June 11th), he presented a very special guest to the excited crowd. “My next guest needs no introduction,” he said, before bringing out his sometime collaborator Childish Gambino to perform hit chart-topping Platinum single “This Is America.”

Back in September 2017, Gambino/Donald Glover quipped about the whereabouts of his nigh-mythical joint project with Chance The Rapper. “Music, I don’t ever wanna do anything because I’m forced to,” he begins, “Also, I feel like if I don’t make a Chance The Rapper mixtape, like double mixtape, a bunch of 14-year-olds are gonna kick my ass.”
Donald is slated to release his final album — and first on a major label — later this year, and will also hit the road with Rae Sremmurd and Vince Staples
