NPR has been on a roll lately with their Tiny Desk Concert series. In recent weeks they’ve had Jorja Smith, GZA, August Greene and Daniel Caesar (with H.E.R.) take to the diminutive stage.
They’ve now invited hometown hero GoldLink to the party. The recent GRAMMY nominee gave them a mini-medley of tracks from all of his albums (2014’s The God Complex, 2015’s And After That, We Didn’t Talk and 2017’s At What Cost), performing “Bedtime Story,” “Dark Skin Women,” “Some Girl” and “Pray Everyday (Survivor’s Guilt)” while backed by “a smooth six-piece band and two velvet-voiced singers.”
