Jay Rock Seeks ‘Redemption’ On New Album

blame it on Wongo June 15, 2018

Over the past couple years, TDE has blessed us with some amazing projects from their label members, Kendrick’s DAMN, ScHoolBoy Q’s Blank Face, SZA’s Ctrl and& SiR’s November are just a few to exit the Cali-based label.

One member who’s been particularly quiet over this time span is Jay Rock. Since 2015’s 90059, we’ve heard Rock appear on few songs here and there, but a new project is what we really needed.

Early this year, Rock returned with “King’s Dead” alongside Kendrick and Future. Included on the Black Panther soundtrack, the song was also said to be featured on his upcoming solo album. Five months later, the Watts native presents Redemption.

Led by three singles—”King’s Dead,” “Win” and “The Bloodiest“—Redemption is equipped with 13 tracks and features from J. Cole, SiRJeremih, and SZA, over production from Sounwave, Mike WiLL Made It, Boi-1da, Jake One, Hit-Boy, Teddy Walton, and more.
