Hailing from the Red Hook housing projects in Brooklyn, Clyde Guevara makes his DopeHouse debut with a video for his latest single, “Still iLLin.”
The song is off Clyde’s upcoming album, freeJAH, dropping on July 20th — the two year anniversary of the death of his brother JAH, who was murdered just months after being released from prison after serving a five-year bid. The album will share his story and follow everything Clyde’s gone through since.
The video follows Clyde as he strolls through a mansion, trying on robes, pouring a bowl of cereal (but not eating it) and enjoy some time poolside. It all seems like a normal day in the life. But as the clip goes on, you realize everything isn’t at all what it appears.
