It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from eMeX, but that’s not to say the Baltimore native hasn’t been working.
After making his DopeHouse debut in 2015, eMeX has been releasing music sporadically. Unfortunately, without any writers and full time gigs added on top of Meka and my schedules, it’s difficult to keep up with things. Especially when it seems like every week that passes, hundreds of songs are released and a dozen artists pop up on the scene. It’s overwhelming, but we’re doing our best.
I say this because I recently saw eMeX mention something on Twitter about the “glory days” of blogging and the hunt for organic listeners. We’re here, but like I said, I’ve only got two hands and one functioning ear (*shrug*).
With that said, the DMV rep recently released a video for “Drop It,” which finds him posted up with a few friends, enjoying a few drinks during a late night kickback, while he reminiscences on past mistakes. But instead of feeling regret, he’s gotta let it go and press forward.
I’m not sure if this is part of a upcoming project, but it is labeled “Part 1,” so we can at least expect a follow-up record of some sorts. I’m sure eM will him me with a DM (that I won’t see haha) and let me know what’s up. I’ll update the post if that happens.
Do music blogs/ sites even open emails anymore if it's not someone trying to pay to land a placement/ popular shit that gets a green light regardless of quality? I prefer the organic listener/ the organic writer. Where are THEY??????
Point em out. @ them. Something.
