Shake’s Songs of the Week v.13

blame it on Shake July 30, 2018

For the last 111 weeks (count em), I’ve been putting together a Weekly Dope playlist that compiles all the music that was released to help fans catch up. On average, each playlist consists of 30-40 songs. So, in an effort to put a little more of a personal touch on things, I’ll also be sharing a list of my personal favorites from the week.

On Volume 13, Alchemist and Wiz Khalifa kick things off with an unexpected banger, before getting into highlights from Dave East‘s Karma 2 and Noreaga‘s 5E projects. Page Kennedy recruited eLZhi, Nick Grant and ANoyd for a soulful posse cut, Termanolgy and Conway caught a few bodies over Daringer production, and Denzel Curry flipped everything on its head. Newcomers Kayo Genesis and Cantrell introduced themselves with quality tracks, Tyga kept his wave going with a “Taste” cousin, and LNDN DRGS took it back to “Tomorrow” (you read that right) with Freddie Gibbs. From there, things smooth out with songs from Mereba and 9th Wonder, Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid, Mac Ayres, Justend, VanJess (their Silk Canvas album is a VIBE), and Always Never.
