This past weekend (August 11th), hip hop achieved its largest milestone yet as it celebrated its 45th anniversary. To commemorate the momentous occasion, Mass Appeal has announced the formation of the Mass Appeal Brain Trust, a “panel of experts tasked to curate the 45 greatest hip hop songs of all time.”
Fans will also be able to throw their votes into the proverbial hat, for both the nominations for the Mass Appeal Brain Trust committee and their song selections. Two such luminaries, Nas and Dave East, and the two offer everything from Public Enemy and Slick Rick to Beanie Sigel to Eminem.
