Earlier this year Common, Karriem Riggins and Lauryn Hill’s BFF Robert Glasper formed a new group, August Greene. The trio would released their self-titled debut album, which was led by the Sounds of Blackness-covering “Optimistic.”
August Greene has now updated that song, with Kirk Franklin, BJ The Chicago Kid and gospel singer Kierra Sheard added to the mix. Rumor has it that they have another remix on the way, featuring The Roots‘ Black Thought.
