The transformation Jay Rock has made over the years is incredible. Yeah, he’s always been a beast. But with releases like 90059, and especially Redemption, the Watts native has shown growth in his craft and continues to prove he’s got just as much bite as he does bark.
Before rocking the Made In America stage in Philly over Labor Day weekend, Rock linked up with Tim Westwood on his Capital Xtra show to talk about the album, his near-death motorcycle accident, the quality of TDE music videos, Black Hippy, touring, and more.
On top of the interview segment (above), Jay Rock also took some time out to put DJ Durel and Migos’ “Hot Summer” in a body bag.
