That above shot is, literally, the most “regular” Ive ever seen Lana Del Rey.
Anywhoo, the songstress is currently prepping her sixth studio album, Norman F***ing Rockwell (so much for “regular,” I guess!), with producer Jack Antonoff (Lorde, Charli XCX, St. Vincent). After sharing the first offering from it, “Mariners Apartment Complex,” she debuted the second “Venice B**ch” on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe.
“Working with Jack, I was in a little bit of a lighter mood because he was so funny,” Lana said. “I played it for my managers and I was like, ‘yeah, I think this is the single I want to put out.’ And they were like, ‘it’s 10 minutes long. Are you kidding me?’ It’s called ‘Venice B**ch.’ Like why do you do this to us? Can you make a three-minute normal pop song? I was like, ‘well, end of summer, some people just wanna drive around for 10 minutes, get lost in some electric guitar.’”
Norman F***ing Rockwell is slated to arrive sometime in 2019, and I highly doubt it’ll be called that when it does. Check out “Venice B**ch” below.
