The Seshen – “Eidolon”

blame it on Shake September 28, 2018

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from The Seshen, but the Bay Area collective are back in action with a new single, “Eidolon.”

Teaming up with Tru Thoughts, the band brings their blend of R&B, electronic, soul and jazz to life with a funky new offering that was released in response to the political situation within the United States.

“There is a lot happening in the U.S. and I’m here trying to cope,” says lead singer Lalin St. Juste. “So, I wrote ‘Eidolon’ as a response to those who continue to use their wealth, political status, and influence for their own benefit and at the detriment of others. This song comes as a reminder that resistance is constant and that with every action there is a reaction. The oppressor can never escape the oppressed—like a phantom that will follow you.”
