Shake’s Songs of the Week v.24

blame it on Shake October 15, 2018

For the last 122 weeks (count em), I’ve been putting together a Weekly Dope playlist that compiles all the music that was released to help fans catch up. On average, each playlist consists of 30-40 songs. So, in an effort to put a little more of a personal touch on things, I’ll also be sharing a list of my personal favorites from the week.

On Volume 24 of my Songs of the Week playlist, I’ve got Roc Marci kicking things off with a gem off his Behold A Dark Horse album. From there, Swizz Beatz and Torae take it to church, Joell Ortiz previewed his Mona Lisa album with Apollo Brown and reunited with two of his Slaughterhouse brethren, Mick Jenkins continued the bar work with help from Kaytranada, and Run the Jewels secured placement on the Venom soundtrack with an original banger. I’ve got highlights from projects by Belly, Young Buck, Shy Glizzy, Amir Obè, Ella Mai, Usher & Zaytoven, Family Bvsiness (KXNG Crooked + Horseshoe Gang), and Iyla. Plus new loosies from the Free Nationals (with Daniel Caesar), Little Dragon, Taliwhoah, Elujay, and Lil Silva.
