Mick Jenkins Delivers New Album, ‘Pieces Of A Man’

blame it on Shake October 26, 2018

If you’re a fan of bars, today is your day. Not only did Joell Ortiz and Apollo Brown deliver a masterpiece with their Mona Lisa album, Chicago’s Mick Jenkins has also come through with an incredible album of his own.

That’s right, Pieces of a Man has arrived!

Over the last few months, Mick has been blessing fans with tracks like “Elephant in the Room,” “Bruce Banner” (our Verse of the Month for September), and “What Am I To Do.” But as dope as each one is, the gifted lyricist didn’t even need to feature them on the album! Instead, we’re treated to completely new canvas, full of dope’ness.

Led by the Kaytranada-laced “Understood,” the album arrives at 17 tracks with features from Ghostface Killah (“Padded Locks“), Corinne Bailey Rae, Ben Hixon, Julien Bell, and Mikahl Anthony; over production by Black Milk, BadBadNotGood, THEMpeople, Nez & Rio, Dee Lilly, and a few others.

Press play and be sure to add Pieces of a Man on your preferred streaming platform.
