Rather than wait a year or two between projects, H.E.R. seems to favor delivering a couple EPs in quick succession, giving fans quality short projects without having to fade into the background for too long.
After dropping H.E.R. Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 within a nine month span, the Vallejo, CA-bred singer fell quiet for a year before returning this past August with I Used to Know HER. Labeled a prelude to her forthcoming debut album, the EP featured a standout collab with Bryson Tiller and my personal favorite track, “As I Am.”
Now, exactly three months later, she’s back with a sequel, I Used to Know HER: Part 2.
Released a week H.E.R. hits the road on tour, Part 2 is equipped with at eight tracks and, unlike Part 1, is a feature-free affair. Press play below and make sure to add it to your preferred streaming platform.
