Considering how great 2018 has been from a music standpoint, it’s only right one of the originators joins the party. That’s right, Slick Rick just released a “new” song.

Well, technically, “Snakes of the World Today” is actually really old. It’s just being released for the first time.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary (!!) of his debut album, The Great Adventures of Slick Rick, the Ruler teamed up with Def Jam/Urban Legends/UMe to release a special deluxe edition of the album that features “Snakes” (which was recorded during the album sessions), a new song (“Can’t Dance To A Track That Ain’t Got No Soul”), and four demo recordings (“Children’s Story,” “Hey Young World,” “Teenage Love,” and “Mona Lisa”).

Available now in various bundles, we’ve included “Snakes of the World Today” below for your listening pleasure.
