Anderson .Paak’s ‘Paak House Radio’ is Awesome, That is All

blame it on Shake November 3, 2018

Last week, Anderson .Paak joined the growing list of artists to score his own show on Beats 1 radio. And without revealing too much, it’s freakin’ awesome.

Instead of being driven by gossip and drama like Nicki Minaj’s Queen Radio or simply a platform to debut new music like OVO Sound Radio, Paak House Radio is made up of interviews, jam sessions, freestyle cyphers, and plenty of good music for your soul.

On Episode 1 (available here), .Paak invited Yebba Smith, Teddy Ray, and YBN Cordae–who performed a track off his I’m So Anxious mixtape, when he was running under the name Entendre–to the studio for some organic fun.

On Episode 2 (available here), the good times continue with a jam session alongside Pete Rock and DJ Premier (who revealed he sequenced NasIllmatic debut), a three-way call with Dr. DreWale getting pranked Paak’d Out, a chat with Ebro, and more quality music from the Free Nationals.

On the music tip, you’ll hear Swizz Beatz and Jim Jones’ “Preach,” the Free Nationals’ “Beauty & Essex” with Daniel Caesar, and a collection of songs from Musiq Soulchild, The Internet, Busta Rhymes, Carly Simon, Nas, Ari Lennox, the Clipse, and more. And in case you need one of the songs in your life, they’ve also provided a playlist, as well.
