MAJILLA – “Harley Quinn”

blame it on Wongo November 18, 2018

Repping Akron, OH loud and proud, please give a hand for MAJILLA. The 22-year-old has been pushing her music career to new heights since 2015, providing a blend of trap and R&B that’s tends to be dark and sensual.

Citing Eminem, Kanye & Sadé as her influences, MAJILLA has been able to craft a sound that’s both raw and sensitive as well as bold and shy. More times than not, you’ll find her music hitting deep vulnerabilities backed by intricate wordplay as well as big hooks.

Releasing four songs this year, “Have My Way,” “Couple B’s,” “Riding Hood” and the newly released, “Harley Quinn,” she looks to push her narrative that the music should should be about the sound and the emotion it provokes and not defined by the image for popularity.

Tracking back to “Harley Quinn,” that track sees MAJILLA working that trap/R&B blend as she speaks on having a Joker to her Harley Quinn. In this passion, you can hear a mix of anger of sorts as well as a bit of pain. This fits the sort of bold and shy element she looks to portray in her music.
