KEY! & Kenny Beats Reunite For ‘777 Deluxe’ EP

blame it on Wongo November 30, 2018

With Tay Keith pretty much solidifying his spot for this year’s producer of the year, I’ll take the moment to put in my early ballot for next year’s winner: Kenny Beats.

Kenny and KEY! came through this year with their joint album, 777, and impressed many thanks to the standout track “Love On Ice.” Kenny also found production placements with Rico Nasty, Freddie Gibbs (Freddie) and most recently with Vince Staples (FM!) and J.I.D (DiCaprio 2).

Tracing back to the project that gave them a career boost, KEY! & Kenny Beats with a deluxe version of 777 in the form of an EP. Led by “Cable Guy” & “Nothin'” the EP is strapped with 5 songs, the duo calls on Rico Nasty, Skepta, Jay Critch & 6LACK for the re-up.

While I’m wild disappointed “Time of My Life” with DRAM didn’t make the cut, the 6LACK feature does make up for it.
