With a new project on the horizon, Dave B is back at it.
After touching on how self-esteem intertwines with superficial narcissism in today’s digital age on “Pretty,” the Seattle rapper reconnects with his “I Rhymed King with King” collaborator Sango for a new song called “48.”
“Growing up in Seattle, one of my favorite athletes has always been number 24, Ken Griffey, Jr. And when Sango and I go in the studio I feel like you’re getting two Ken Griffey’s on one track which is insane,” Dave says. “He creates the perfect soundscape that bridges the gap between my last album Pearl and the new music I’m making for Bleu.”
