Last month, I took a trip up to Cambridge, Massachusetts to catch Arin Ray on his Platinum Fire tour. The venue was a pretty small one, only holding about 150 people and the night slated to be all R&B, I looked forward to how the night would turn out.
Before Arin took the stage, New Jersey singer NBDY walked on as the opener. In my recent concert experience, I haven’t always been too blown away from openers, but that all changed.
Over the next half hour, NBDY performed a number of songs from his catalog, including my newfound favorites “Used To” & “Warning” and I have to say I was impressed. He’s a phenomenal singer live, he even had moments where I couldn’t help but draw connections to dvsn and Miguel vocally.
NBDY has been slowly but steadily gaining an audience throughout the year all thanks to his raw talent. The Jersey singer even caught the attention of MAL, who picked him as a sleeper for an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.
Throughout his tour with NBDY continued to stay consistent with content, dropping off a new video for “Warning” as the tour came to an end.
