Travis Scott Covers Rolling Stone

blame it on Meka December 20, 2018

After a breakout year, rap’s latest A-lister lands the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

Travis Scott is the focal point of the mag’s latest issue, where he speaks on his musical roots (some may remember that, in 2017, DJ Premier revealed that Travis’ father taught him how to play the drums and his uncle the bass), his Houston upbringing, the relationship with his partner and mother of his child, and — somewhat — Kanye West.

“I’d tell him, ‘Bro, chill. What you gotta understand is, young Black kids are looking up to you, and the message you used to preach in your earlier music? It’ll make a young Black kid — it’ll make any kid — confused.’ That sh*t was — come on. But when Ye get on some sh*t, he on some sh*t. I don’t know if that n***a just liked the hat or what, dog. Ye deals with different sh*t in his life. That’s family. You don’t wanna desert your bro. Everybody go through sh*t. He still a dope musician. But he’s definitely hit me up about it, and I’ve told him, ‘Man, you got kids looking up to you, feel me?’.”

Uh, right. Something like that. Either way, the entire interview can be read here. Visuals can be seen below.
