KXNG Crooked Relaunches Hip-Hop Weekly Series with “GS”

Mr. Weekly is back!

Although it’s rather common these days, there was a time when no one was doing weekly campaigns. Ten years ago, well before KXNG was introduced to his name, Crooked I was in uncharted waters when he embarked on a series called Hip Hop Weekly that featured a new freestyle every Wednesday for a year straight. And like everything in hip-hop, the idea was original until it sparked an insane amount of copy-cat campaigns. Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Friday series? Yeah, that was inspired by Crook — whether the MAGA hat-wearing clown show wants to admit it or not.

In fact, Ye was one of the reasons the HHW: Reloaded series that went down in 2010 was cut short. There was just too many chefs in the kitchen whipping up weekly work, so Crook called it off after just 15 installments.

Now, after letting fans suffer from withdrawal the past eight years, KXNG Crooked is officially re-launching the series–now dubbed The Weeklys (I think)–with plans to rock various beats throughout the entirety of 2019.

Starting today, with entry number one: “96 GS.”
