Still burning.

Zhavia Ward had a pretty big 2018. After being a finalist on The Four: Battle for Stardom, the dreaded-up LA singer landed a deal with Columbia, appeared on the Deadpool 2 soundtrack alongside Diplo and Lil Pump, and released a handful of singles–including “Candlelight.”

Now, with a full calendar year ahead and her debut album on the horizon, Zhavia recruits Jeremih for an updated version of the Cody Tarpley-laced single.

“What inspired this song for me was a really hard time I went through in my life where I was very depressed,” Zhavia told Genius. “It was the first time in my life where I was questioning if I would make it as a singer. Because I feel it’s very important to believe in yourself before anything else because if you don’t, it’s not gonna happen.”
