After capturing our attention in 2017 with his incredible PEAK debut, Choker kept things rolling into 2018 with Honeybloom. And now, with another full-length surely in the works, the Michigan-bred jack-of-all-trades will be releasing a trio of projects within the next three weeks as part of his Filling Space mini-series.
Starting today, Choker shares Mono No Moto, a three-track offering led by the soothing sounds of “Petrol Bliss.”
“There’s this moment eternized by Pascal Maitre; three Equato-Guinean girls standing side by side after their first communion,” Choker told FADER of the inspiration behind the series. “Each is wearing a white dress and a distinct pair of colored sunglasses. For months I would return to the photo to take whatever it gave, often textural ideas, an occasional melody or chord. Eventually the fragments came to be a whole and I had three projects sewn up, Mono No Moto being the first.”
