In life, adversity can put the spotlight on a man’s true character. And when it comes to Zaytoven, the character in question is at an all time high.
Last month, the super producer arrived at the NPR offices with the intent of backing up Future for a special Tiny Desk concert on the day The WIZRD was released.
Unfortunately, Future never showed.
Never one to back down from an obligation, Zaytoven decided to stick around and deliver a stellar live rendition of a pair of Beast Mode songs (“Lay Up,” “Peacoat”) and one of their collaborations from his Trap HoliZay debut (“Mo Reala“) with some help from Neil Garrard (guitar), Elena Pinderhughes (flute, because “Mask Off” was in the original plans), Bernard Lambert (drums) and DJ Spinz.
