DJ Khaled Reveals ‘Father Of Asahd’ Release Date

At one point, DJ Khaled was virtually everywhere. From touting his (rather admirable) pops of the year qualities to even having his own lotion, touring wildly expensive headphones and promoting tax preparation, Khaled literally said “no” to nothing.

Eventually, he–at least, by his standards–went radio silent when touting his forthcoming album, Father Of Asahd.

With the rather underwhelming (to say the least) two singles that followed (“Top Of” with The Carters and Future; “No Brainer” with Chance the Rapper, Justin Bieber and Quavo), it’s safe to say that Khaled went back in the lab to work on the project. And now, it looks like things are all wrapped up and Khaled is finally ready to deliver his 11th studio album.

Now, it wouldn’t be an announcement, without Khaled getting extra with it. On top of revealing the May 17th release date, the father of Asahd also shared a clip on Instagram of Nas and Diddy in the studio while Diddy shares some of the most hyperbolic thoughts about a record I’ve heard in quite sometime.

Not only did he call a future music video one of the best he’s even seen, the Bad Boy CEO decided to double down with, “You made your Chronic. You made your Life After Death. You made your No Way Out. You made your Illmatic. You made your best body of work.”
