Just a couple days ago, Ari Lennox announced that her debut album, Shea Butter Baby, would “drop the earliest moments of May.” Keeping true to her word, she revealed plenty of information last night with a new single.

Dropping the third single off the upcoming album, the princess of Dreamville lays off “Up Late,” a sultry, slow-tempo ballad about the late-night wait for one’s lover. In addition to the new single, Ari also revealed the album’s artwork (above), release date, and tracklist.

Set to arrive May 7th, her debut comes equipped with twelve songs. Rather than using the typical numerical pattern for the track numbers, Ari used hair texture types for the order, starting at 1a and ending at 4c.

Along with “Up Late,” her debut is led by “Whipped Cream” and “Shea Butter Baby,” and includes features from J. Cole and J.I.D.

Hit play on the new track–which features Masego on the sax–and make sure to check out Ari on the Shea Butter Baby Tour, as well.
