Open Mike Eagle’s Comedy Central show with Baron Vaughn, The New Negroes, is one of the more entertaining new series on television. Part sketch series, part standup show and part social commentary, the show also taps into Mike’s hip hop sensibilities with a variety of random “musical” guests.
Following “Unfiltered” with Danny Brown and “Police Myself” with MF DOOM, Mr. Eagle teams with goes up against Phonte on “Woke As Me,” where the two battle to prove who’s really the wokest… while in a barbershop. Yep, it’s as nutty as you think.
