Later this year, Ciara will celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of her debut album, Goodies. In those fifteen years, she’s seen her fair share of success, highs and lows and all that and more that comes with being a successful R&B act. Still going strong, she returns today with her seventh album.
Dubbed Beauty Marks, Ciara compared the freedom she felt during the creative process of the album to that of her debut album. “I was this little girl … I had no inhibitions. I was just free and lost and I let myself go in the process … and that’s the same way I was with making this album.”
Equipped with 11 tracks, Beauty Marks is led by “Level Up,” “Freak Me,” “Dose” & “Greatest Love.” Across the album’s 40 minutes, we see appearances from Macklemore, Kelly Rowland & Tekno.
