A$AP Ferg – “Wigs” f. City Girls & ANTHA

blame it on Wongo June 24, 2019

For the past few years, A$AP Ferg has been one of the most consistent members of the Mob. Marking two years since Still Striving, the Harlem native will be following it up with his next album, Floor Seats, which will be dropping in July.

After connecting with A$AP Rocky for “Pups,” Ferg links up City Girls and fellow Harlem native ANTHA for his latest output, “Wigs.” The track comes packed with a lot of twerktastic energy as the artists convince the ladies to have their “wigs hit the floor.”

“City Girls is definitely killing it right now, I’m a fan of them and what they’re doing. They locking it down for all of the females around the world, and then ANTHA is my female artist, she’s like the female me,” Ferg told Zane Lowe. “As far as the song and the concept, man, I was thinking about Good Hair, the documentary with Chris Rock. At first I was thinking it was a silly idea to make a wig song, but then… what do girls do when they twerk? They twerk, they booties is in the air, and their hair dragging on the floor because they head down and they asses up. So, I was just like this is natural, this is what girls do, it’s wigs on the floor, and that’s what I came up with.”
