Back in 2017,Daniel Caesar emerged as a gem in the R&B world with his debut album, Freudian, which featured his most successful track, “Get You.”
However, after spending the next year and change collaborating with the likes of Chance the Rapper, H.E.R (“Best Part“) and the Free Nationals (“Beauty & Essex“), the Canadian singer has spent that last few months dealing with controversy–including an awkward interaction with Dave Chapelle (which blew over quickly) and an unwarranted and unnecessary defense of the Culture Appropriation Association’s First Lady, Yes Julz.
After waiting in the shadows, Daniel Caesar has resurfaced with a new album in hand called CASE STUDY 01.
Like Freudian, the new project sports a bearable ten tracks and features contributions from Brandy, Pharrell (on a song produced by The Neptunes), Sean Leon, Jacob Collier and John Mayer.
