Straight out of the Rhode Island with the likes of Hil Holla, Khary & more, I’d like to introduce Israel Wusu to the DopeHouse. At quite the young age, Wusu has made quite the name for himself over the past year thanks to consistent above par releases.
Starting off with his FLOWERFORJORGE EP, Wusu gave himself quite the launching pad thanks especially to “Colours.” Following the EP, he would establish and his versatility to his fans with the afrobeat “One 4 Me,” the introspective bar-ladened “Catch Fire” and the trapsoul-esque “Feels.“
With all this in mind, his latest single, “Who’s Gonna Love Me,” sees him posing the question of who truly supports him. Backed by piano-driven upbeat production, the song currently stands as his most successful song to date.
A little over two months after its release, Wusu debuts the visual for “Who’s Gonna Love Me” in the form of a short film. Directed by Larry Adigun, Larren Writter & Momo Akiowala, the film sees Wusu reconnecting with an old friend, who invites him to a party of her’s where he’s joined by some of his closest friends.
