The wait for Rick Ross‘ next album is nearly over.

After teasing the release of Port Of Miami 2 for over a year, the biggest bawse of the land will finally drop the long-awaited sequel on August 9th–the 13th anniversary of his Port Of Miami debut.

Port of Miami started me on this journey,” Ross says. “It’s only right I bring it back to where it all started. For my day ones to the new ones, this album is for you. Tenth studio album. Get ready. Ride with me. It’s time.”

Along with the release date, Ross has also released a trailer (below) and revealed the official artwork–which pays homage to the original with him holding a pendant that features a picture of his late friend and manager, Black Bo, who passed away in 2017.

Although it seems like Ross originally kicked off the campaign on “Green Gucci Suit” with Future, the lack of attention the record got might be a sign of it being left off. More recent tracks like “Act a Fool” with Wale and the Just Blaze-laced “Big Tyme” with Swizz Beatz are more likely to land on the final tracklist.

UPDATE: Turns out, “Gold Roses” with Drake will be the first official single. It was also revealed that Lil Wayne and Pusha T will be appearing together on “Maybach Music VI.” Unfortunately, according to Ross, he put the record together without each party knowing.
