Murs & 9th Wonder – “High Noon” f. Rapsody & Reuben Vincent

blame it on Shake July 18, 2019

Good and bad news, Murs and 9th Wonder fans…

First the bad… sadly, the duo’s sixth album, The Iliad Is Dead and the Odyssey is Over, will not be dropping tonight as originally planed. Instead, the project will be released on August 9th via Empire.

Now, the good… fortunately, Murs and 9th weren’t about to leave fans empty handed and still managed to release a new single to hold us over.

Leaving the production duties up to 9th’s 15-year-old daughter, JDeafBeats, “High Noon” features Murs and Rapsody going back-and-forth with the bars while JAMLA’s Reuben Vincent handles the hook.

“It’s amazing what my baby can do,” 9th Wonder told Complex. “What she has been able to accomplish while only making beats for two-years, born with a profound hearing loss. I guess she is just born with the gift to feel.”

“Making ‘High Noon’ was one of the funniest times I’ve had working with another artist,” Rap adds. ” It started as a Patagucci joke, and turned into a jam where Murs and I got to flex and have fun at the same time. I haven’t gone back and forth on verses in a while. It was dope to create in that way again–just spitting.”

Press play and keep an eye out for The Iliad Is Dead and the Odyssey is Over.

As another bonus, Murs and 9th will also be putting their 2015 effort, Brighter Daze, on all streaming services tonight.
