Having been signed to Def Jam (via Blacksmith Records and ARTium Recordings) throughout most of his career thus far, Vince Staples has found a new label home: Motown Records.
Announced earlier today (August 7) at the Capitol Congress 2019 (the annual meeting for Capitol Music Group), Blacksmith Recordings — the label launched by longtime artist manager Corey Smyth — has officially moved to Capitol Music Group and Motown Records.
Vince’s final album with Def Jam, FM!, was released in 2018.
