If you’ve got love for Hip-Hop and a knack for putting words together, it’s hard to ignore. Just ask MRG, a Dominican-American rapper who was once a top baseball prospect in high school, that decided to ditch the field of dreams to pursue a career in this ever-changing rap game.
On October 4th, the journey continues with the release of his debut album, Live From the Hurst 2. And today, the DopeHouse is proud to premiere the project’s new single, “ROD (Ride Or Die),” produced by Fortune.
“This song is like a journal entry,” MRG told 2DBZ via email. “It’s an ode to my microphone, or my ROD (Ride Or Die). It’s been with me since I made the transition from being one of New York’s top baseball prospects being a full time recording artist.”
No melody, just bars and knocking drums, the song can be heard below.
