A$AP Ferg & Chance the Rapper Freestyle Over OutKast, Jay-Z & Mobb Deep Classics

blame it on Shake August 23, 2019

Fresh off the release of his Floor Seats project, A$AP Ferg dropped by Sway int the Morning to speak on the music, A$AP Rocky’s legal issues, and more.

During the interview, Ferg proceeded to jump in and out of a freestyle for a good half hour, before the energy in the room flipped at the 29-minute mark once Chance the Rapper and his brother Taylor Bennett entered the room. After dapping up Sway and the rest of the crew, Chance and Ferg decided to go back-and-forth with an impromptu freestyle session.

Kicking things off with a story over OutKast’s “Elevators,” Taylor joined the party and the trio proceeded to trade bars over a DJ Wonder-laced medley of Jay-Z’s “Where I’m From,” Mobb Deep’s “The Realest,” and Beanie Sigel’s “The Truth.” There’s another beat, too, but I’m blanking right now smh.

Check it all out (including a sit-down with Chance) below.
