The wait is over. Rapsody‘s new album, EVE, has arrived!

A follow-up to last year’s Grammy-nominated Laila’s Wisdom, the Snow Hill, North Carolina native’s highly-anticipated third album is a “dedication to the beautiful spectrum of black women that have shaped our lives.”

Named after the Bible’s original woman, EVE is dedicated to the celebration and empowerment of women of color worldwide with each song being named after a legendary black female, both past and present, helping shed light on the people that have served as inspirations for Rapsody through the years–including the longest-reigning female Egyptian Pharaoh Hatshepsut, 19th century African-American abolitionist and freedom fighter Sojourner Truth; music legends Nina Simone and Aaliyah; Maya Angelou, OprahSerena Williams, Michele Obama, Whoopi Goldberg, and more.

Equipped with 16 tracks, Rapsody is joined by J. Cole (“Sojourner”), Queen Latifah, Mereba, SiR, J.I.D, GZA & D’Angelo (“Ibtihaj“), Leikeli47, Elle Varner, and PJ Morton; over beautiful, sample-heavy production from 9th Wonder, Nottz, Khrysis, Eric G, and Mark Byrd (full credits below).

Press play and be sure to add EVE on your preferred streaming platform.
