Ever since his blkjuptr EP from 2016, Smino has been one of my favorite rappers to watch. Over the years, the St. Louis-born rapper has only improved his stock thanks to his two albums – blkswn & NØIR.
After a few impressive performances on Revenge of the Dreamers III – including “Sacrifices” where he dawned an umbrella I didn’t know I desperately needed – Smi heads back to the solo route with his latest release.
After teasing it for a couple weeks, Smino returns with “Reverend.” The track finds him right where we’ve grown to love him. In addition to the new track, he also teased an upcoming remix of Ari Lennox’s “I Been” as well.
