Meet JAMESDAVIS, an R&B group – consisting of fraternal twins and co-vocalists Jess and Rey Reynolds and their younger brother, producer and keyboardist AusTon – who are making their (long overdue) DopeHouse debut with a video for “Black Leather Bag” off their Masterpeace EP.
Since signing with Motown in 2014, the Inglewood-based trio have been making waves with a string of EPs – including Here It Go and last year’s Lamplighter Vol. 1 (which is what initially caught this writer’s attention).
Now, with a full-length debut hopefully on the horizon, JAMESDAVIS are revisiting their latest effort with a dark visual for the Clyde Guevara-assisted “Black Leather Bag.” Filmed in Los Angeles, joy and pain erupt in the AusTon and Dana Rice-directed clip as AusTon and Clyde examine their vices over a few bottles of wine while Jess and Rey exude their sultry vocals while posted up in a burning mansion.
Check it out below and, if you like what you hear, be sure to revisit all their projects on your preferred streaming platform.
