After meeting in 2015, Killer Mike and Bernie Sanders have become close friends–leading to the Atlanta rapper going above and beyond in helping the senator’s presidential campaign in 2016.

“I am here because working class and poor people deserve a chance at economic freedom,” Mike said at an event for Sanders at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre. “In my heart of hearts, in my heart of hearts, I truly believe that Bernie Sanders is the right man to lead this country.”

As we all know, Trump ended up winning and the entire countries been flipped on its head. Thankfully, the 2020 election is right around the corner and we’ll have another chance at getting the Cheeto out of office.

Continuing their burgeoning relationship, Bernie and Mike recently linked in Atlanta to have another discussion about the 2020 presidential election, health care, drug prices, wealth, and student debt. According to blog here, for ten minutes, the two cover the legacy of the Poor People’s Campaign, spearheaded by the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the price of insulin (which is outrageous), and a series of other critical issues you might not hear about in the next debate.
