For the last five years, we’ve been trying to tell you about EarthGang. Now, after a variety of projects – including early offerings like Shallow Graves For Toys and Strays with Rabies, mulitple Spillage Village compilations, and a trio of EPs (Rags + Robots + Royalty) – the duo of Olu (aka Johnny Venus) and WowGr8 (aka Doctur Dot) are ready to introduce themselves to the masses with the release of their major label debut, MirroLand.
Inspired by the 1978 classic, The Wiz, with Atlanta providing a perfect parallel to the Land of Oz, EarthGang provide a soundtrack for listeners to absorb and experience through a collection of 14 wondrous records.
On top of contributions from T-Pain, Kehlani, Arin Ray (“Stuck“), Young Thug (“Proud of U“), Mereba, and BJ the Chicago Kid, production comes from Childish Major, DJ Dahi, Bink, J. Cole, Christo, Olu, and others.
