Hit-Boy & B. CaRR Connect On “Start It Up”

It’s been over a year since Hit-Boy released a solo project, but that doesn’t mean the dual threat hasn’t been working. In fact, that’s all he’s been doing. On top of producing for the likes of Nas, SOBxRBE, Khalid, Meek Mill, and the late Nipsey Hussle (“Racks in the Middle“), he’s also been working on his next solo project (out soon) as well as a new compilation (dropping in 2020).

Today, fresh off going “Bezerk” with Big Sean and A$AP Ferg, Hit-Boy is back at the DopeHouse with a new single alongside B. CaRR called “Start It Up.”

“It’s a new West Coast sound in my opinion but it’s reminiscent of some Eazy-E x NWA vibe,” Hit-Boy told Complex. “It all started with B. CaRR. He laid the foundation with the beat and his verse. Then I added a verse and some extra production to it and mixed it.”

Released with a matching video, directed by David Camarena, the song can be heard below. Press play and be on the lookout for Hit-Boy’s next project.
