DoggyStyleeee Keeps G-Funk Alive with ‘Into Something’ Project

Ever since Meka and I started 2DBZ – over 12 years ago – there’s been no hiding our West Coast bias. Which makes sense, considering we’re both from California (Los Angeles and Long Beach, to be specific). Over the years, we’ve helped introduce y’all to a bevy of talented artists from the left side of the states–on the forefront in support of everyone from U-N-I and Pac Div to Kendrick Lamar and the entire TDE camp.

Now, we’re headed to my high school stomping grounds of San Bernardino to help shed light on an emerging rapper by the name of DoggyStyleeee.

Channelling Snoop and Kurupt in ’93 and Tha Eastsidaz and Bad Azz in ’00 (as the always-reliable Jeff Weiss accurately described), DoggyStyleeee is keeping the G-Funk sound alive with his latest mixtape, Into Something.

Led by songs like “We Different” and “Born & Raised,” the 25-year-old rapper details life in the unofficial capital of the Inland Empire as he rocks a Pendleton shirt and blue flag while getting his walk on and dipping in ’64s with his crew is at his side–ready to ride on the opps at any moment.

Press play below, add the project on your preferred streaming platform, and be sure to head to Passion of the Weiss for a more in-depth profile.
